SWIMMING at the Inverloch surf beach has always been a popular summertime activity. Now starting Sunday, January 12, the Inverloch Swimrays – the town’s social swimming group – and the Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club are joining forces to promote swimmers of all levels to come along for a supported morning swim, while the club’s volunteer lifesavers patrol the beach.
Swimmers can complete various distances, from 200 metres to 2000 metres, based on level of comfort. The swim itself is typically between two buoys spaced a short distance apart at the back of the beach’s breaking waves. Participants are encouraged to stick around post-swim for a coffee or cold drink at the Surf Club’s kiosk.
Join us for our supported Sunday swims, every Sunday in January and February starting at 10am from the Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club on Surf Parade.
