How you can sing-a-long with Santa this Christmas

2 min read

THERE’S nothing quite like going to your local carols evening, sharing the community spirit with others, and giving your lungs a good workout by joining in on your favourite carols.

Most local towns have set the date and have, in many cases, wrapped some other activities around it.

Christmas in The Boo 2023, at Mirboo North for example, will be held on Friday, December 8 from 5pm.

As well as the carols which will follow, Baromi Park will be overflowing with market stalls, food trucks and live entertainment on the big stage!

You can also tick off your Christmas gift list by supporting the local makers and creators and then throw out your picnic rug, grab a bite to eat and sit on the grass and listen to the music.

There is fun for the whole family and thanks to the generous support of local community organisations, you won’t have to dig deep into your pockets with free activities such as a kids disco, face-painting, roaming entertainment, lawn games and mini golf!

At Korumburra, Coal Creek’s ‘Carols at the Creek’ is on Friday, December 15 from 6pm with the Coal Creek Choir and South Gippsland Concert Band leading the singing-a-long.

The Cowes Carols by the Bay, is always a great occasion with the Tuesday, December 12 event going off with a bang – a big fireworks display to round out a fun night.

Here are a few of the other carols events in your area:
