Police are investigating after a serious assault in Inverloch on Wednesday, April 9.
Officers were called to reports of a man being attacked by a group of males on Florida Avenue about 2pm.
It is understood the man was struck with a bat several times during the assault before the offenders fled in a silver sedan.
The 46-year-old Inverloch man has been flown to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators have been told a woman attempted to stop the males from driving away and was dragged a short distance while holding onto the car.
She sustained minor injuries.
At this time, it is believed parties involved are known to each other.
Investigations remain ongoing.
