WONTHAGGI Newspower has firmly campaigned for the past six years to become an official Myki retailer and this week the store was approved to sell and top up Myki cards for Melbourne travel.
Owner Fiona Fleming said previously in-store they could only supply customers with explorer packs, customers would then have to travel to Pakenham or their nearest station to top up their Myki cards before stepping onto public transport.
“From now on we can support regionals who need to travel to Melbourne, offering Myki cards and top ups for children, adults, concession and seniors,” said Fiona.
“It’s great news for the community, for young student travellers and those working in Melbourne.”
