A male is recovering in hospital today after being stabbed last night along The Esplanade.

A 42 year old is recovering in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed last night, Friday, April 18, in Cowes.

It is alleged a brawl broke out outside a licensed premises on The Esplanade about 11.20pm.

The male victim was stabbed multiple times by the man.

The victim was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 31-year-old Wimbledon Heights man was arrested at the scene and will be interviewed by police.
