ST JOSPEH’S Primary School in Korumburra have welcomed 20 foundation students who have begun their school journey.
“Everyone has settled beautifully and there is already a buzz of curiosity and learning happening,” stated Principal Sharon Anderson.
“The class is being expertly led by our magical foundation teacher, Natalie Kratz and supported by Learning Support Officer, Belinda Whiteside who is famous for her nurturing kindness.”
This year, the school are excited to be adding Auslan (sign language) to their suite of specialist subjects which include Art, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Physical Education.
Auslan will be taught by Mrs Daphne Ward.
With growing enrolments, St. Joseph’s are also welcoming several new staff to the school.
Mrs Robyn Brownett will be leading a focus on Wellbeing and Mental Health across the school community. Miss Rania Tadros is joining the teaching staff in the Junior Team as well as Mrs Natasha Kuyer and Mrs Karen Sandman in the Senior Team.
Miss Nicole Kennedy will bring her expertise in the area of Language Support and Miss Rachael Ramsay and Miss Cate O’Brien will be supporting students in both the Junior and Senior Teams. These new staff members join an already dedicated and expert team at St Joseph’s.
