THE sea breeze is in at Rhyll on Phillip Island with the temperature dropping more than 10 degrees in an hour.
From a sticky 36.3 degrees at 2.30pm Sunday it has dropped to 24.9 by 3.13pm as the wind swung from NNW and NNE at about 10km/h, gusting to as much as 48km/h as shifted to SSW.
Meanwhile it was still above 35 degrees in Melbourne at 3.30pm and the wind still firmly from the north and NNW gusting to 39km/h during an uncomfortable afternoon.
But there’s no real relief in sight away from the coast with Leongatha going for 37 degrees and 35 degrees on Monday and Tuesday with minimums overnight of 20-21 until we get some relief on Wednesday.
