BASS Coast Secondary College Dudley Campus have won through the South Gippsland division of Year 8 Boys School Football competition and will play-off in the regional finals later in the year after a round robin competition with South Gippsland and Bass Coast schools at Inverloch on Tuesday, May 16.
In fact, the BCSC Dudley Campus played off against BCSC San Remo Campus in the local final for the right to go forward in the competition.
Schools represented at Inverloch on the day included Mary MacKillop College, Mirboo North SC, Foster SC, Leongatha SC, and Korumburra SC.
In one of the closest matches of the day, Mary MacKillop College just prevailed over KSC 21 points to 16 and while Leongatha SC posted good wins over Mirboo North and Foster, they lost out to the Dudley Campus of BCSC in the first round of the day.
The football was played in initially wintry conditions, but the sun came out later on an ideal day for footy.
