Don’t vote for more of the same

1 min read

I AM informed that this (attached Labor ‘how to vote’ letter) is how the local Labor movement is suggesting voters should be voting. They want it to be a political competition, not based on the ability of the candidate or the needs of the community.

Labour directive: “Encourage friends and neighbours to support: Our very own Cr Leticia Laing (Bunurong Ward), Labor-aligned Inverloch local Caitlyn Robertson (Bunurong Ward), Conservationist John Temby (Westernport Ward), Serial Greens candidate Mat Morgan (Bunurong Ward)”.

“Warn friends and neighbours not to support: Former Liberal Cr Rochelle Halstead (Westernport Ward), former Liberal Meg Edwards (Bunurong Ward), Alan Brown-backed Liberal proxy Prudence Scholtes (Bunurong Ward)”.

So, if you want the same old equity, diversity, inclusivity, reconciliation, LGBTQIA and Climate Change that we have had shoved down our throats over the last four years, then vote as above.

If you want a change of direction to roads, rates, rubbish, recreation, footpaths, drains, parking, beach reconstruction and transparency, vote 1 Rochelle Halstead, 2 Jan Thompson, 3 Nikole Shellekens (Western Port). 1 Meg Edwards, 2 Les Larke, 3 Prudence Scholtes (Bunurong). 1 John Trigt, 2 Darrell Silver 3 Ron Bauer. (Island).
