Eagles Nest rips

ON A school excursion two weeks I took these photos at Eagles Nest.

I am a member of both the Cape Paterson and Wonthaggi Surf Lifesaving clubs and like everyone I’m concerned and frustrated by the spate of recent drownings.

I watched as an Indian family headed to the stairs leading down to Eagles Nest beach and felt compelled to try and warn them of the dangers with the rips present.

Yes, our signs need improving but I would also like to see television ads now to educate and warn everyone about our beaches.

They are beautiful and inviting but can also be dangerous.
