Korumburra chaos, he says

1 min read

THIS week in Korumburra, the shire has temporarily closed down the public toilets in the centre of town for works. This now takes away another four parking spots for the time being, and with the whole side of the street losing most car parks, it’s chaos for parking and shop owners. No parking, no customers. Retailers are looking for compensation.

With the replacement/changing of driveways and the mistakes happening on the left-hand side, it makes you wonder if it’s us ratepayers who are paying the cost.

This project is way behind. Radovick Street is looking good but isn’t finished and the footpath is still a tripping hazard due to unevenness and brickwork.

Questions are being asked but why won’t they talk or listen to issues arising from every shop owner or questions from the public. The shire information shop isn’t open or no one to talk to.

Yes, there is a phone number to call when they call back. Must be a better way for all involved. A question is simply a path to a better way.

Mistakes are happening and no one takes accountability. A local person who has been there from the start, asked a lot of questions, still waiting on answers.
