I READ with interest your article and the Vox Pop regarding mobile phones for young people.
I say ‘with interest’ because I recently provided mobile phones to two young people starting secondary school. The reason was to provide security for both the students and their parents.
After much research I found an Australian designed phone that provided exactly what we were looking for, and that addressed our safety concerns.
The phone comes with an app that allows the parent to control – who calls and texts can be received from and made to; there is no camera; which apps can be accessed and time limitations; if attachments can be received by text or email; and phone location.
Great value, Australian designed and supported, I am really pleased with the product.
