The mastery and versatility of Kent Mobile Auto Electrics

2 min read

IN the moving industry of auto electrics, there’s always room for innovative thinking and Kent Mobile Auto Electrics, owned and operated by Matthew Kent, a young, qualified auto electrician is providing a new service to the Bass Coast and South Gippsland region.

Completing his apprenticeship under Mick Keene at Diverse Auto Electrics in 2019, Matthew’s apprenticeship was a crucible of learning, honing his skills in auto electrical systems and nurturing a passion for precision and problem-solving.

“I completed a lot of work for Alumarine on a call out basis, they built the hulls, and we wired and installed the engines and lighting,” said Matthew. Completing the work of the fireboats for Sydney Harbour. His ability to troubleshoot under pressure and his meticulous attention to detail were crucial in ensuring these essential vessels remained operational.

With a number of years of experience under his belt now, Matthew has recently decided to establish his own business, Kent Mobile Auto Electrics. From the beginning, he envisioned a service that was both reliable and versatile. His mobile workshop is equipped to handle a wide range of tasks, from installing and repairing 12–48-volt systems to providing comprehensive diagnostics. Matthew’s commitment to quality service and his ability to adapt to various vehicle types have set his business apart.

One of Matthews notable projects is the engine swap on a VY Ute. The vehicle’s original V6 engine was replaced with a robust V8, and the interior is being meticulously transformed to resemble a Statesman. The project, which included replacing the dash and steering wheel, will be completed in a remarkable 30-36 hours. This project isn’t just about technical skill; it is also about understanding the client’s vision and executing it with precision.

Matthews dedication to his craft is evident not only in his work but also in his business acumen. Working day-to-day as a farm hand in Dalyston whilst quoting and working on his new auto electrics business. Operating from 9am to 5pm, daily, with availability for weekend work, Matthew ensures that his clients receive the service they need, when they need it.

The satisfaction of a challenging project has contributed to his expertise and passion for auto electrics. For anyone in need of mobile auto electrical services, Kent Mobile Auto Electrics is not just a choice but a promise of quality and reliability. Call Matthew Kent on 0411 184 906.
