Creativity shines for CWA

1 min read

THE Creative Arts Exhibition hosted by CWA Bass Group in Loch over the weekend impressed crowds from far and wide.

It was perfect timing too as the Loch market was also being held, no doubt boosting the exhibition’s exposure.

Held at the Loch Hall, the 69th exhibition featured something for all to enjoy with entries across a range of categories such as baking, knitting, crochet, photography and more.

CWA Bass Group craft convener Jacky Dow was delighted with this year’s event despite their being less entries.

She highlighted the quality of the works was outstanding and they still managed to raise nearly the same amount of funds as last year.

The funds raised go back to the group’s vital work.

Sally Matthews was the overall winner for the exhibition.

South Gippsland Shire Deputy Mayor Nathan Hersey welcomed all to Loch and South Gippsland whilst speaking of the importance of people coming together for connection and sharing ideas. He also congratulated the strong crowd at the opening and awards presentation and remarked on the significant display of skill and expertise in the room.

Bass Coast Shire Mayor Clare Le Serve was also in attendance undertaking the acknowledgement of country and officially opening the exhibition.
