Monster weekend of action heading Phillip Island’s way

THERE’S more to the Qatar Airways Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2024 at the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit this weekend, starting Friday, than the “fastest racing on two wheels”.

Although, that’s more than enough.

And crossing the San Remo Bridge on to Phillip Island on Wednesday this week were two of the stars of one of the many forms of off-track entertainment – the Monster Trucks.

Featuring in two shows on each of Friday, Saturday and race day Sunday, the Monster Trucks are sure to provide an engaging spectacle.

The Monster Truck are a thrilling, family-friendly motorsports experience featuring gravity-defying Monster Trucks and other exciting vehicles.

This is guaranteed to be an unforgettable spectacle for all. It features fearless drivers and a one-of-a-kind vehicle lineup, perfect entertainment when the action stops on-track.

National Support Paddock

The National Support Paddock is the place to get up close and personal with the bikes and the next generation of motorsport superstars at Phillip Island.

Feel what it's like to be right in the heart of the action.

Hero Walk

Hero Walk provides a chance to meet your favourite riders in the fan favourite area across the weekend.

Hero Walk is situated along the riders’ route to the MotoGP™ Paddock and includes roving performers and a DJ. It will be the best position for fans to get a selfie or autograph with the event’s stars.

Gardner Village

Gardner Village is the ultimate destination for all motorcycle fans at the MotoGP™, located alongside Gardner Straight.

  • 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM – MotoGP, Free Practice Nr. 1. Riders hit the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit for the first time, getting a feel for the conditions of the track.
  • 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM - Mick Doohan Fan Forum Appearance. Michael Doohan is an Australian former Grand Prix motorcycle road racing World Champion, who won five consecutive 500cc World Championships. Fan Forum Stage
  • 11:45 AM to 12:05 PM - BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup, Free Practice
  • 12:15 PM to 12:35 PM - Hot Wheels, Track Entertainment
  • 1:10 PM to 1:25 PM - Monster Trucks
  • 1:15 PM to 1:50 PM - Moto3, Practice Nr. 1
  • 2:05 PM to 2:45 PM - Moto2, Practice Nr. 1
  • 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM – MotoGP, Practice. An essential session for riders who will battle it out for a guaranteed Q2 spot and set up their Sprint and Race.
