Our ‘Littlest Penguin’ book is the best, they say
Launched at Phillip Island, the Penguin Foundation’s children’s book the Littlest Penguin has won a major award.

LAUNCHED by the Penguin Foundation at Phillip Island Festival of Stories in November last year and featured on the front page of the Sentinel-Times no less, popular children’s book ‘The Littlest Penguin: and the Phillip Island Penguin Parade’ has just picked up a major award.

Published by the Penguin Foundation and Jedda Robaard, it has won the 2024 Environment Award for Children’s Literature in the fiction category of the Karajia and Environment Awards for Children's Literature.

Chair of The Penguin Foundation Board, Simone Clancy, officially launched 'The Littlest Penguin' book, published in conjunction with Penguin Random House Australia & New Zealand at the event in the new Cowes cultural centre Berninneit.

And the new Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Clare Le Serve, who took time out to chat with Sarah Hardy of the Penguin Foundation about the new book was photographed by the Sentinel-Times on her first weekend of mayoral duties.
