Politically incorrect night to remember with Kevin Bloody Wilson

2 min read

HE wowed them at the ‘Wedge’ arts centre in Sale last night, now the inimitable Kevin Bloody Wilson is headed for Wonthaggi’s Union Community Arts Centre in Wonthaggi as he swings through Victoria on his (40 years of Kev) international DILLIGAF Day Tour.

By all reports, it was a great night out at Sale last night and should be a laugh-a-minute again on Friday night at Wonthaggi, before the Kevin juggernaut heads for Warragul.

Good tickets are still available at Wonthaggi.

As well as Kevin, the entertainment also includes New World Artists and Jenny Talia from Australia.

Kevin Bloody Wilson’s story is now one of legend. Always a larrikin, he originally wrote and recorded songs on a homemade cassette tape for his mates, simply songs penned about his experiences living in the outback and working nights as a part-time musician and an electrician by day in the gold mines in Kalgoorlie.

Sales of this initial cassette skyrocketed to the tens of thousands before it was transferred to vinyl, where it proceeded to sell tens of thousands more.

It was just the start of a career that Kev admits he never saw coming, and he has never looked back. Fast forward almost four decades and Kev is a household name throughout Australia and in most of the English-speaking world.

It is hard to believe that it was almost 40 years ago that he was getting arrested for performing his politically incorrect songs in public. Times have changed though, and Kev even now proudly sports a nomination for Australian of the Year as one of the country’s most prolific comedian, songwriter and performers.

While his songs and concert performances continue to rattle the cages of the PC Brigade, Kevin Bloody Wilson has earned his place in the entertainment industry with almost zero mainstream media support. His record sales are now nudging the four million mark. All of his CDs and DVDs have achieved gold status globally, with many reaching platinum status. In fact, one album, Kev’s Back, reached quadruple platinum status. His recordings can be found all over the world, from outback Australia to The Antartic.

His music has also been preserved for generations to come in the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra. His fan base stretches from Broken Hill to Buckingham Palace and his sold-out live concerts and music sales are the envy of most Rock Artist, all while maintaining a Global touring schedule that consistently earn legions of new fans who not only love his music but love the Kevin Bloody Wilson DILLIGAF attitude... so much so that KEV’S song, DILLIGAF has been used and shared more than 350 million times on TikTok!!

Doors open at 7pm, show 7.30pm – 10pm. Don’t miss it.
