IT’S getting to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go.
Last Friday night, December 9, both Leongatha and Mirboo North hosted their community Christmas carols.
Rhyll’s carols followed on Saturday night, December 10 but the Cowes carols and fireworks have been postponed until Tuesday, December 20 due to the weather.
Meanwhile towns across Bass Coast and South Gippsland have all their decorations up and there’s a number of houses with light shows, although not as many this year.
At local sporting events, including the Phillip Island Golf Club on Thursday, are taking on a Christmas theme with the ladies dressed in their Christmas finery and playing a unique form of ‘Casino Ambrose’ where they threw a dice to decide aspects of the game and then had to put around presents and other festive paraphernalia on the greens!
It's hard enough without that stuff, but plenty of fun all the same.
Come along and join in the community Christmas fun in your town over the next few weeks.
