WHETHER a 29-year-old Nyora man got his just deserts when he was bitten by a snake while attempting to flee from police, after allegedly breaching a family violence intervention order may be up to the courts to decide when the man faces the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, November 26.
Police attended a property at Nyora on Monday, November 25 to interview the man in relation to a number of alleged offences.
It has been reported, however, that the man ran from the scene and into the bush at McDonalds Track Nyora where he was bitten by a snake.
Multiple police units arrived to join the search for the man but he was only located after seeking assistance at a nearby property and an ambulance was called to attend to the incident.
The male was transported by ambulance to Casey Hospital where he was kept under observations until Tuesday morning when he was discharged to face the music.
The male has been interviewed by detectives from the Bass Coast Family Violence Investigation Unit and has been charged with Persistent Breach of a Family Violence Intervention Order and theft of motor vehicle.
He was due to appear at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday afternoon, November 26.
