The importance of cash was driven home on Wednesday with many businesses unable to process card payments after the loss of electricity and internet connectivity.
Leongatha Newsagency was one of those.
Co-owner Raj Joshi warmly greeted Nils Bourke who stopped in for a newspaper with coins in hand.
