Have you spotted a Hyundai i30? Or have information relating to three other aggravated burglaries?

BASS Coast Crime Investigation Unit have recovered one stolen vehicle and are investigating a second stolen vehicle, which is yet to be recovered after two aggravated burglaries overnight (September 31 – October 1). 

It's unknown whether the aggravated burglaries are linked and the number of offenders is unknown, however, police are appealing to witnesses and residents in Korumburra and Leongatha with CCTV and dashcam footage. 

The first vehicle a 2019 white Toyota Corolla stolen during a home invasion in Leongatha was recovered burnt out on the rail trail at 4am this morning (October 1). 

The second vehicle a white Hyundai i30, stolen during an aggravated burglary in Korumburra, is outstanding. 

The incident comes as two vehicles, tools and electronics were stolen from an address in Inverloch overnight on September 26 – 27, whilst the victims slept inside.

Specific details of the aggravated burglary are unknown; however, it is understood the offender/s gained entry to a vehicle first before entering the house. 

The two vehicles, a Mazda 6, which was recovered on Sunday in the Latrobe Valley, and a Mitsubishi Triton were stolen along with tools inside one of the vehicles and electronics from inside the home.

Anyone with information, including CCTV or dash cam footage are urged to contact Bass Coast Crime Investigation Team on 5671 4100 or submit a report online at Crimestoppers.

There are also reports of a series of criminal damage incidents in Korumburra overnight with broken vehicle windows and other vehicle damage.

Police are reminding the community to keep their cars and house locked, with keys away from entranceways; and to undertake the #9pm routine – lock up, bring in and turn on.
