‘Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the town, bells could be heard - Santa was found! He rode into parkrun to wave everyone off.
What a beautiful morning! The sun was shining aloft.
Fifty-eight parkrunners tuned into to the RD’s speech.
Lots of tourists - Heidelberg, Geelong and Airley Beach.
St Alban’s, Koonwarra, the long list goes on.
Lots of cheerful faces ready for Christmas fun.
We sped down the track and puffed our way back.
The young and the old(er) gave it their best crack.
Lots of smiles and waves, encouragement and cheers.
Christmas carols, festive outfits, grins from ear to ear.
Then off to the park with our weary legs.
Ready for coffee, mince pies, bacon and eggs.
Some sneaky milestones tried to hide under the radar,
No can do! We’ll just celebrate them later!
Fifty volunteers for Linda, and for Jodie – 50 runs!
What fantastic achievements. A huge well done!!
Big thanks to the volunteers – today you outdid yourselves.
You really brought the spirit of Christmas – thank you parkrun elves!
So as we head towards the end of another wonderful year,
We hope you enjoyed the festive cheer.
My biggest apologies for my terrible rhyme.
See you later parkrunners – see you next time!
