PIBC to contend in Bells Beach 50 Year Storm

THE Bells Beach 50 Year Storm voting is now open, and there are a few invited Phillip Island Boardrider Club (PIBC) surfers in the mix.

So far representatives from PIBC are Joe Van Dijk, Carl Wright, Sandy Ryan, Glyndon Ringrose and Dylan Matthews.

The public can also nominate someone whose name is not on the list, such as Harry De Roth, Sage Goldsbury and Ash Easton.

Anyone can vote, and vote from 1 up to 30 surfers.

30 invited surfers will then compete on the best big day of winter surfing, between June 1 and August 31, 2024.

In memory of Shaun Brooks, the 50 Year Storm is run at Bells Beach to raise awareness for people’s mental wellbeing.
