THE Poowong & District Amateur Basketball Association hosted its Skills Development Day on January 10, and it was a huge success! The sessions were led by Riley Parkinson, owner and founder of Parkoball Training, who brought his expertise and passion for basketball to the court.
With 34 participants ranging in age from 7 years old to adults, the day was packed with energy, learning, and fun. Riley's engaging coaching style and practical tips left players inspired and excited to improve their game. Whether mastering the basics or refining advanced techniques, there was something for everyone.
As a bonus, participants in the Skills Development Day received a $30 discount on Junior Domestic registration for the upcoming season. The new season kicks off on February 17, and registrations are now open!
“We were excited to have Riley run the sessions,” said Sarah Jackson, general committee member of the Poowong & District Amateur Basketball Association. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and many participants have already asked when he’ll be returning!”
