‘Udderly’ bizarre visitors at Leongatha Golf Club

1 min read

Potential new members of Leongatha Golf Club did themselves no favours during a Tuesday visit, with the 100-strong herd of cows conducting themselves in a fashion that doesn’t match the sport’s expected etiquette.

Misdemeanours noted were not paying green fees, playing in bunkers without raking, failure to repair divots even on the greens and unsolicited manure deposits in the middle of fairways.

“Special thanks to members, staff, volunteers, and neighbours who got our friends back home safely, with the least amount of damage to the course possible,” the club stated.

Ground staff were praised for their great work in quickly repairing the two affected greens.

Visitors and members please note the new local rule, nearest point of relief may be taken if your ball lands in a hoof print or cow patty!
