REGARDING your April 8 report on illegal abalone and shellfish gathering on Phillip Island. The same activity happens on most Sundays at Harmers Haven. This has been reported numerous times by local residents. 

I have personally been threatened by the poachers for confronting them. 

If Fisheries want an easy catch, I suggest they follow up these reports.
