Winterfest brings back colour and light after dark days at Mirboo North

ALL THE PHOTOS FROM MRIBOO NORTH'S WINTERFEST LANTERN PARADE

A BIG crowd turned out for Mirboo North's Winterfest at the weekend and especially the lantern parade on Saturday night.

The turnout was something of a statement of survival after the freak storm which hit the town in February this year but not yet a celebration of the recovery job done, still with thousands of trees littering the landscape and many houses yet to be fully repaired.

But progress is being made and they're certainly grateful for that.
