PIBC presents their 23/24 season awards

2 min read

ON Saturday, October 12 Phillip Island Boardriders Club (PIBC) celebrated their 23/24 season with their trophy presentation night.

PIBC thanked their entire committee of this season and last, who contributed to making the season and organising the celebration night (and return bus trip) to the Phillip Island Winery such a success.

On the night PIBC also inducted a new Life Member to the club - David (Dumpy) Thompson. The Life Member nomination process begins with a submission initially sent to the president of PIBC. The president then contacts one of the designated Life Member delegates for handling nominations, then the delegate contacts the other Life Members to gather their votes on the nomination, with a majority vote acceptable. The delegate then reports the outcome (yes or no) of the vote to the president. The purpose of this process, as stated, is to ensure that current committee members (those directly involved in club management) do not influence the nomination process. Instead, the involvement of Life Member delegates aims to maintain fairness and equity in the nomination and election procedures.

The trophies and awards for the 23/24 season PIBC’s exemplars were.
