DETECTIVES from the Homicide Squad are investigating following the discovery of a man’s body at a property in Cowes this morning.
Officers were called to the home, at the intersection of Church Street and Justice Road about 10.20am on 7 April.
A yet to be formally identified man, believed to be aged in his 80s, was located deceased.
The death is being treated as suspicious.
A man, believed to be aged in his 50s, who was found with suspected self-inflicted injuries in Ventnor earlier today, has been taken to hospital under police guard.
It appears at this stage, the people involved are known to one another.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.
