1 min read

A talented local footballer in his own right, umpire Jesse Boyd, has developed a good rapport with players during his 299-game career.

INVERLOCH’S Jesse Boyd will run out for his 300th game as an umpire this Saturday when he takes charge of the match of the day in the Gippsland League, between top team Leongatha and third-placed Moe.

The South Gippsland Umpires Association has posted its congratulations ahead of today’s big game.

“Since beginning his umpiring journey in 2014, Jesse has become an integral part of our association. He is known for his supportive approach and exceptional ability to build the confidence of young umpires who are starting out.

“Among his umpiring achievements, Jesse is a three-time senior grand final umpire and recipient of the prestigious Bill Pollock Memorial award.

“He will achieve his 300-game milestone this Saturday at Leongatha, where he will take the field alongside good mates Jake Dennerley and Zack Scholz.

“Join us in congratulating Jesse Boyd on this incredible achievement!”

And so say all of us… have a good one Jesse.
