San Remo SES unit thank their dedicated volunteers

1 min read

SAN REMO SES unit controller Mandy Chancellor celebrated the achievements of the SES volunteer members who have overcome obstacles, in a time of crisis.
“It's important to recognize the collective efforts of our community. Celebrating success is not just about acknowledging the accomplishments of a few, but rather about recognizing the hard work and determination of everyone involved,” said Mandy.

“By doing so, we can inspire others to persevere and achieve their own goals.”

Bass Coast has experienced significant growth, and with it the SES unit now have 22 members.

The unit is open to welcoming both men and women to undergo training for operational and non-operational roles, and Mandy is dedicated to providing a flexible environment for the unit volunteers.

Mandy gathered her crew to the station on Thursday evening to say thank you! An ice-cream truck was onsite serving gelati in all flavours; it was chance for the volunteers to reflect on all their hard work over the past few months.

Bass MP Jordan Crugnale joined the volunteers to say thank you for servicing the community, and for turning up without question at all hours of the morning in the time of an emergency.
